Urgent and emergency care

Urgent and emergency care

What could the NHS do to help citizens decide where the best place is to go to address their urgent and emergency care needs

Points

It is important to bear in mind that many patients in England live in rural locations, sometimes 20-30+ miles from hospital with full A+E facilities. This can mean that there is little opportunity to choose where the best place is for urgent care.

Technology seems to be the answer !. Is there an NHS app ?.

Pharmacists are often more locally based than hospital and they have an extensive knowledge of a wide range of conditions and are in a position to advise on how to treat urgently
